Rules & Set-Up

Basic Setup: The basic idea of this league is that you will be the owner of a race team. You may field two cars in the Sprint Cup, Nationwide, and Re/Max series. It is up to you which drivers you will have in each series. You may keep your younger drivers in the lower levels and try to gain them valuable experience points or throw them to the wolves in the Sprint Cup. If you a driver is not performing how you want you can drop down into a lower level series and move up a driver from a lower level to a higher level. You can release drivers and sign new drivers for your team. You can move drivers up or demote drivers at any point during the season.   Races will be run every two to three days to keep the dynasty moving. Pictures and videos will be posted from each race. Sprint Cup and Nationwide seasons will last 15 races and run the same schedule. The Re/Max Series will run 10 races with a slight variation from the Sprint Cup and Nationwide schedules.

 Car Ratings

Car Ratings: Now comes the part for the owner part of the series.  Every car will be able to have different ratings for their cars.  Each owner can have two cars in each of the three series.  The Re/Max series cars will all be even.  Performance will be based mainly off of driver ratings.

Owners will also gain points to add to their ratings based off their drivers performance.  It will not be as many as the driver performance however.  Re/Max cars cannot gain points.

Age

Ratings System:  The driver ratings system will be based on age and driver performance.  New drivers will start with a basic set of driver ratings.  As drivers age you will gain a set amount of points to add to your drivers ratings each season.  The second way to gain points to add to your ratings set is by driver performance during the previous season.  Wins, top fives, top tens, poles, and final point standings will all help you gain performance points.   Every driver will start with a basic ratings set of 40 min and 60 max for all stats.  Here is an example.

Driver Stats
Agression: Min 40 Max 60
Consistency: Min 40 Max 60
Finishing: Min 40 Max 60
Qualifying: Min 40 Max 60
Road Course: Min 40 Max 60
Short Tracks: Min 40 Max 60
Speedways: Min 40 Max 60
Super Speedways: Min 40 Max 60

Every driver will then gain points to add to that set based on their age.  If you start out with a 16 year old driver his stat set will start out exactly as shown above.  A 17 year old driver will have 4 extra points to add to that set.  Why would you want to start out with a young driver then?  Because the 16 year old will have a chance at gaining performance points and when he reaches 17 he may have 10 points to add to his skill set instead of 5.   Listed below is the breakdown of age and amount of points to add to the basic skill set.  In paratheses is listed how many points you would add per season when your driver reaches that age.  The first number listed is the amount of extra points you would get if you started your driver at a certain age.

 Performance

Performance Points: We went over how drivers will gain points based on age progression.  Now we will go over how drivers gain points based on performance.  This will show the advantages of having a young driver and starting him in the Re/Max or Nationwide series.

Drivers will gain more points for good performances in the Sprint Cup series than they will in the Nationwide or Re/Max series.  But, the younger your driver is the lower his overall stats will be.  The chance that he will succeed in the top series is very slim and he may not end up gaining any points based on performance and end up relying solely on age.  A younger driver has a much better chance at succeeding in the lower levels and will progress his stats quicker.  Here is a break down of what points you will gain for your driver based on performance.
